About The Artists

DJ Maphorisa: One of Africa’s most influential music producers and DJs. Before becoming a pioneer of the Amapiano movement, he was a massive force in Gqom and Afropop. On this track, his production curation binds the entire collaborative effort together.

DJ Raybel: A highly talented producer who brought the raw, authentic Durban Gqom sound to the track. His signature heavy basslines, dark synths, and driving percussive rhythms give “iWalk Ye Phara” its distinct, high-intensity club energy.

Moonchild Sanelly:  Known for her signature blue hair and self-created “Xhosa futuristic pop” style, she provides the infectious, high-energy vocal hook and ad-libs. Her explicit, body-positive lyrics and electric delivery give the track its unforgettable vocal edge.

Zulu Mkhathini: Formerly known as Dash from the hip-hop trio DreamTeam, he brings immense charisma, vocal chants, and street-smart flow to the track. His performance perfectly captures the dance culture and high-octane energy surrounding the Gqom movement.
