Are you ready to add another hit to your music collection? Look no further than Umgido’s latest release, “Feelings,” featuring the incredible General Cmamane! This track is an absolute must-have for anyone who loves South African hip-hop.

“Feelings” emerged completely organically from the South African township electronic underground. Umgido and General C’mamane built an unreleased vault of music simply because they clicked in the studio. The track was chosen by the listeners. Umgido put two unreleased songs to a fan vote, and the community overwhelmingly demanded this one.

About The Artists

Umgido is a production duo consisting of Athie (Athanathi Mbilini) and Da Fresh. Hailing from East London in the Eastern Cape and operating heavily out of Cape Town, they are widely recognized as the originators of “Melodic Gqom” and innovators in the Afro-Tech space. They blend the heavy drum structures of traditional Gqom with emotional, sweeping melodies and classic electro-house notes.

General C’mamane represents the cutting edge of Durban’s explosive Gqom scene. He began producing in 2018 at just 16 years old, releasing a self-titled 4-track EP for free that immediately caught the attention of underground DJs and industry icons alike.

Known for his heavy beats and high-energy club anthems, his tracks are easily identifiable by his signature vocal ad-lib: “Sobafakel Ukshisa Angithi Syaydalela”.
