Nigerian singer-songwriter WurlD returns with “YOU AND I,” a soulful new release that places his distinctive vocals and melodic songwriting at the heart of the record.

Released on September 4, 2026, the song arrives as part of a three-song release featuring the original, acoustic, and acapella versions. The track explores themes of love, connection, and emotional expression while maintaining the smooth, atmospheric quality associated with WurlD’s music.

“YOU AND I” opens with a sax-led introduction before WurlD’s vocals take over, creating a warm and intimate listening experience. The restrained production leaves enough space for his voice and melodies to carry the emotional weight of the song, making it a natural fit for listeners who appreciate Afrosoul, Afropop, and R&B-influenced sounds. The accompanying acoustic and acapella versions offer different perspectives on the same composition, highlighting the versatility of the record.
